When I began the work, I expected most of my time to be spent helping students with

complex cognitive difficulties with their efforts to grasp higher concepts or to

reproduce intricate patterns of argument. It surprised me to discover that the most

common complaint of students of all ages is difficulty in organizing and timetabling

their work. Many students identify this as a problem fairly soon after embarking on a

first year at university, but many do not until after examination at the end of their first

term.Yet others discuss methods of organizing themselves in something of a rush

before resit exams. I find out that an increasing number of highly zealous graduates
